Storsjöodjuret on film

Monstrum Jemtlandica is a beautiful movie about Storsjöodjuret and the area around lake Storsjön by Eva Aspling and Annika Kämpe. The movie is just as much about the athmosphere around the lake as the lakemonster. Softly and gently the film deals with the history, the people around the great lake and the mixed feelings with the few witnesses who dare to come forward.

The movie presents a picture of an area where the myth and the reality around Storsjöodjuret are hardly separable. It is a strong story which lifts with the beautiful background pictures by the famous Jämtlandphotographer Dan Jåma and with music composed by Jens Comén also born in Jämtland.

The movie is 27 minutes long and can be seen at Jamtli, the county museum of Jämtland, situated in Östersund.
