The largets markets are in China and there it is expected to grow between 6-8 % per year until the year 2010. Cefalosporins Cefalosporins were discovered in 1948 by professer Brotzu at the university of Cagliary, when these micro-organisms were shown to pocess antibiotic caracterisistics. Today Cefalosporins are produced industially and allthough they are closely related to penicillin (as both have a betalactama nucleus) they can be used to fight bacterier, that have built up a resistants against penecillin.  In order to circumvent infections during inplant operations of artificial heart valvs, limb joints etc,  Prophylatic antibiotics are used as a preventive messure and it is here that Cefalosorins have also a large market.  The first steps of production takes place in our lab. There our micro biological and technical staff, through rigerous analys make sure that all of the basic componants and ingredienses are of the right values .
